Festive Family Fun in Fancy Dress! (...including Mum's and Dads!)
Welcome to our website which we will be constantly updating with all the information you'll need to make the most of this truly amazing event.
The Dreams Weekend is the first of its kind and brings together a wonderful community of people, authorities and businesses in a way that is unprecedented in this area and we have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from everyone. The event promises to deliver a superb family day out and we have all been working hard to make sure that it not only raises as much money as possible which will go directly to the Charity and the children it serves, but also attracts people to one of the finest towns in the forest.
This is very much a daytime family event and throughout the whole of Lymington areas are being transformed into a variety of themes with The Quay Association presenting Diagon Alley, Angel Courtyard presenting Narnia, Stanwell House presenting a Chocolate Works theme, The High Street Traders & Market Stall Holders presenting a Lapland Theme, The St Thomas Street Traders presenting an Alice in Wonderland theme, Earley Court presenting a Pirate theme and the businesses in Rashley Mews an Aladdin Theme. At the very top of town, there will be a Dickensian theme and at Waitrose, thanks to Beaulieu Motor Museum you will find the 1909 Humber from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang where Truly Scrumptious may pop by to say hello. On Lymington's Quay, there will be ice skating on the 'WightRink' and kiddie rides including a Wizard's Bouncy Castle and everywhere throughout the town street entertainers, dancers, musicians, activities and competitions will be at every turn. Last but not least, Father Christmas has taken time out from his busy schedule to come to Lymington throughout the whole weekend!
Finally if you are coming to the event, then you will feel very out of place if you aren't in fancy dress and stunning prizes will be given to those making the greatest effort including Mums and Dads. Please browse the site for more information or contact 0870 330 4460 for more information about attending or being part of the inaugural Dreams Weekend!
