If you haven't yet heard of The Dreams Come True Weekend, you can find out all about it in the 'about' section, but on top of the weekend of family fun in aid of an amazing cause with the whole town embracing themes like The Quay Association's Harry Potter in their re-branded Diagon Alley, Angel Courtyard's Narnia, St Thomas's Street's Alice in Wonderland, The High Street's Lapland, Earley Court's Pirates of the Caribbean and many others being finalised, we can also confirm the following:
- Ice Skating on the Quay WightRink!
- South West Trains will run a special 'Dream Train' service throughout the weekend with special tickets (for a special themed journey and raffle entry for substantial prize) from Brockenhurst to Lymington and all sales will go to the charity.
- A kids orientated funfair on the Quay.
- A Wilts & Dorset 'Park n Ride' service.
- Security Coverage
- Major regional press coverage.
- Majority of retailers taking part with fancy dress, decorations, competitions and more.
- Associated feature article in popular regional lifestyle magazine, focused on Christmas Shopping in Lymington due out in the last week of November.
- A dedicated website and 50,000 printed Dreams Maps/ Brochures of the town and all the events!
- Support from Dame Kelly Holmes, Emma Forbes and others.
- Plus much much more!
Lymington Dot Com and Dreams Come True are very keen that this weekend not only benefits the charity and the children it serves, but also provides a platform to promote local businesses and the whole town at large to wider audiences so that everyone wins from this benchmark event.
We are currently looking for further sponsors who wish to benefit from this high profile event and help contribute towards the costs of street entertainment, decorations, infrastructure, advertising, promotion, security and licensing etc. All sponsorship is being canvassed on a ‘not for profit’ basis and after all costs any excess funds will be donated directly to Dreams Come True a registered charity no: 800248
